Bonjour à tous. Pour débuter la tournée de la Dynastie du Trivéole 2010, je me suis retrouver au GeekFest de Montréal. Je vois de plus en plus que le message que je veux communiquer commence à se faire comprendre: Reign Emporium Publishing est une maison d'édition qui veut offrir un produit québecois de qualité sour un format international. Le format Franco-belge est pour moi le plus classe qui soit et je tiens à en faire d'autres. La Dynastie du Trivéole est la première série que Reign Emporium Publishing publie.

Un gros merci à fred Harper et son équipe pour le bel accueil au Geekfest et les Mystérieux Étonnants pour l'interview.

I have been working really hard on the 2nd episode of the Tricomb Dynasty saga. Looking forward to going back on the Comic-con circuit and catching up with all the people i've met last year.

I'm feeling truly blessed as i see the hard work paying off and a lot of positive feedback coming in everyday.

Also, I'm proud to announce that Reign Emporium Publishing Co. will release two 15 page books on Itunes. These short stories will be an add-on to Nirvana Interrupted revealing more about Krugr the Defiant One and a few other characters in the Tricomb Dynasty universe.

I'm also following up on some leads. Opportunities to collaborate with other writers and known publishing companies have surfaced.

Tricomb Dynasty is off to the Montreal Comic Con this December 6th, 2009

Hi .

The year is coming to an end and the Montreal comic Con is already here. December 6th is when and Place Bonaventure is where.

Looking forward to making new friends and spreading the word about this awesome event. It's brand new so there is a lot to build on. Already can't wait for the next one.

This week, i've discovered Twitter ( i know i'm a bit late ). But i finally got my hands on making some promo poster to add to my table. A Superman illustration i'm working on and a lot more goodies coming.

All these things i've accumulated are adding up and in 2010, my table at the conventions will be filled with prints, Tricomb Dynasty figurines and by-products. Hopefully some very creative collaborations will happen so that it can diversity to my table.

Hi there.

Since taking Tricomb Dynasty on tour, i've met a lot of inspiring people and made a few friends along the way. This has been such a great journey so far and the best has yet to come. Recently, Expozine and the Ottawa Comics / Sport Cards Trade show did wonders for Tricomb Dynasty's mission to break down doors and make new fans.

Currently working on some promotional artwork for thins year's remaining trade shows. And yes, i am clearing up my schedule to start on Tricomb 2 ( title to be revealed soon ). I hope to start in early 2010.

In the meantime, more interviews and events coming your way. The Montreal Comic Con is arriving in Place Bonaventure December 6th. That's in less than 2 weeks!!

I will be there with a lot of artwork and goodies for you all.

I've very productive these past few months.
I'm 15 pages from completing my book. I was worried about the final rendering and was doing a lot of background research.
when it came to inking my illustrations, my lines were pretty squiggly and uncertain. However, with a little perseverance and with the certainty that things could only get better, I was quite pleased with the results. I noticed an evolution that kinda caught me by surprised. My characters were looking right at me .They stopped looking flat and 2d-ish. I felt a chill. Maybe I'm closer to my goal than I thought. Or maybe I need to step out of the studio for some fresh air...

Evenin' Folks!

It's been a while , I know. The year slow-started and I was beginning to lose all hope. But things seemed to be moving forward as the months flew by ( So far... so good ). I have been very fortunate. There are some people out there who still like me. I am enjoying my freedom and with the support of a cool Chick like mine on my side, I am the luckiest man on the planet. Tell your friends!!!
I have been trying to find the balance between work, health and my art, and Oh Yea... it's hard!!!
As I kept giving my graphic novels a little attention, I realize now that I am closer to my goal than ever. Just a little bit more and I will have published my first book.
On that note, I am posting some sketches of characters from my graphic novel.

When life throws you obstacles, trials and tribulations; don't just sit there and dwell on your misfortune... roll with it and use that experience to try harder. There is no time to lose!

This is a lesson that I am applying right this instant. I have taken part in a Comic book contest and just now received that my submission has not been retained. The theme of the contest was " Views on the city." The prize was a ticket to go to Angoulème (France) to take part in the international comic book convention hosted there every year.

On a more positive note, it has allowed me to finally try my hand at a more finished product than I am used to. I can now finalize my work as much as possible thanks to this experience. Every opportunity is there for you to learn something.
More will come for sure.

No time to waste !!

I have been writing and drawing so much these days. Don't you hate it when , after being very productive for quite a while you take a breather ( to see what the outside world looks like! ). You come back to the drawing board to continue your work, and then... nothing!
Your brain decided to take a vacation and whatever you do it won't let you get back in work mode. Sucks right??
Well it's been happening very often these days. If you have any tricks to make the brain stop taking week-long breaks... please...share the info.

So anyways, I have some brand new stuff coming out this week. Here is a sampler. A helluva lot more is coming.

Here it is folks.
This is what i am up to these days. I have been fortunate enough to be working on my projects all year. Here are some sketches and colour renderings of characters from my book. And as a treat, i have added the teaser poster for this particular project.
My search for publishers will soon follow. I've never been this far off in a personal project. Hopefully, this will generate interest and get my foot in the door.

Intensive rehab !!

Drawing on and off for the past ten years really left my hand to be stiff and uncoordinated. Last summer I submitted myself to an intensive regime of comic books and everything else I could get my hands on to get inspired and get back to the comic frame of mind.

In my search, I found myself obsessed with the works of Alex Ross. I bought "Mythology. The DC comics art of Alex Ross" and stood in awe of his technique and body of work. WAW!! I would surely like to shake this man's hand and knock back a couple of pints and share "war stories".

I had spent a lot of time writing and the time finally came to see if I could get my hand back. These pics are a first attempt at characters from my book. Many more came after that, but I would like to show you the progression of my work as I go along with this blog.

A new beginning.

I went recently to the Montreal bookfair and the Montreal Comic Con and had my first contact with editors and artists in the field. What a rush it was to be finally be talking to some fellow artists. I have been waiting for 10 years now to start this journey.

In the last decade, I found myself working as lead designer and as an Artistic Director for many Design firms throughout Montreal and for 10 years I have put aside my love for illustration. I have now decided to re-invent myself artistically and throw myself in this world that I have been dreaming about for so long.

Take notice people. I am here and ready for some action !!
